District 1 – The Colors: A Mini Documentary of Saigon, Vietnam
October 13, 2026
A journey through the colors, rhythms, and everyday life of Ho Chi Minh City.
Starting from Saigon Hi-Tech Park, I take the metro to Ben Thanh Station and step into the heart of District 1, where modern city life meets the timeless charm of old Saigon.
Every corner tells a different story
From the vibrant Ben Thanh Market and the bustling intersection of Nguyen Du and Le Loi, to the lively Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the elegant Saigon Opera House, the historic Saigon Central Post Office, and the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, every corner tells a different story.
The journey ends at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, a peaceful little escape in the middle of the city.
More than a city walk
This is more than a city walk. It's a collection of moments, colors, architecture, and everyday scenes that make Saigon what it is.
No rush. Just the city, its people, and the stories hidden in plain sight.
